Time to end another week with a summary. Hope you enjoy.
๐ Monday: We shouldn’t stop everything because of a bug.
We are the product of several millennia of human evolution. A code so complex that it is prone to bugs.
On Friday, I was having a chat with a colleague of mine and we were talking about wisdom teeth. How come we are still born with them? It looks like we are shipping new bugs into production to fix them afterward.
๐ Tuesday: I am lazy and you should be to
I say this often, but rarely enough. I am extremely lazy.
Always have been, always will be. I think you should be too. Here is why.
๐ Wednesday: Measure twice and throw it away
I am a Business Intelligence guy and, to be very honest, I love to measure everything.
There is something beautiful about being able to track complex subjects and show them in simple metrics. Like how well your team may be performing versus the happiness they are feeling at work (a simple scale of 1 to 4).
๐ Thursday: What is the goal of the Retrospective?
This week almost all of my teams ended their sprint. As we always do, at the end of each sprint we look back and reflect on what went well and what we can improve.
๐ Friday: 1% Continuous Improvement – talk
This week on Tuesday I had the pleasure of doing a talk for the agile beer community, in the amazing office of TextKernel.
๐ Saturday: Social Saturday #7
Social Saturday is a series where I try and answer some of the questions that Iโve found over the internet.
Hope you have an amazing new week.
Cheers,
