A quick summary. Hope you enjoy.
📅 Monday: Someone should fix this
A very common sentence that we hear all the time.
This <insert problem here> shouldn’t happen, someone should fix this.
📅 Tuesday: But we’ve always done it this way
Do we need to do this? Is this the best approach? Nothing stops these questions better than the sentence:
But we’ve always done it this way.
📅 Wednesday: Slow down to speed up
Health Check season is over for this quarter, and one of the items that came out of some of my teams was that our Speed of Delivery should be improved. This came from the team itself, reflecting on their previous quarter, not from (add upper, middle or top as you please) management.
📅 Thursday: Why is “never give up” bad advice?
Where to start? I guess my problem is with the word “never”.
Absolute statements are generally bad advice. Over the years I have never seen a “solution fits all” that works for more than 50% of the cases. It is a coin toss, and the reason behind it is because life is unpredictable.
📅 Friday: Scrum vs Kanban
As agile coaches we see this discussion happening all the time.
📅 Saturday: Social Saturday #8
Social Saturday is a series where I try and answer some of the questions that I’ve found over the internet.
Hope you have an amazing new week.
